MELVILLE PENINSULA
Advanced Explorations Inc. (AEI) has entered into a partnership with the Government of Nunavut to look into alternative power solutions that can be used at its Roche Bay iron ore site as well as other communities and projects in Nunavut.

The Toronto-based company has been investigating the possibility of fully-integrated liquid natural gas power as a lower cost alternative to Arctic diesel. AEI is examining the possibility of wind power technology is another renewable energy option.

AEI will form a new company that will independently pursue the remote power business opportunity while it continues to focus on its iron ore projects. The new company will work on developing and implementing the business plan while working with the GN.
