DELINE/FORT FRANKLIN
The cleanup of 20,000 litres of gasoline that overflowed a community storage tank in Deline March 11 is almost complete, according to an official with the Department of Public Works and Services.

"This was all contained within the retention berm, that is, gasoline wasn't released into the land or environment outside the tank farm facility," said John Vandenberg, director of petroleum products for the department.

The cost of the cleanup, expected to be completed this weekend, is still being tallied, but Vandenberg said it would not be passed on to consumers. The department is investigating the cause of the spill.
