SANIRAJAK/HALL BEACH
A man surrendered to police in Hall Beach on Aug. 7 after shots were heard from a residence, according to the RCMP.

The shots were fired after a woman left a residence following a domestic dispute with a man, police stated.

An RCMP crisis negotiator made contact with the man inside the residence, eventually leading to his peaceful surrender, police said.

No one was injured.

This is the third incident involving a standoff with weapons and RCMP members in Nunavut communities in the past two weeks.

As of Aug. 10, police have not indicated if there are any charges laid associated with the incident.
