NORTHWEST TERRITORIES
Two land parcels in the Beaufort Sea and four parcels in the Mackenzie Delta have been put up for bidding by Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada, for oil and gas exploration.

Bids are being accepted until Sept. 6, when the successful bid, proposing to spend the most amount of money doing exploratory work on each land parcel, will be chosen.

Three months ago, the federal department's Northern oil and gas branch issued a call for bids on two land parcels located in the central Mackenzie Valley.

Bids are being accepted on those land parcels until June 19.
