Although the weather was a little chilly on Saturday, there was plenty of traffic throughout the two-day indoor and outdoor marine show, said Jason Clarke, general manager.

"Everybody's excited about boat season," he said. "There was lots of traffic through here."

The event was also a great opportunity to show off the store's new location, which recently underwent major renovations after Force One moved into the lot just doors away from its former Old Airport Road location.

"I love it," said longtime Force One customer Joan Robinson about the new location.

Like many, Robinson came to the boat show "just to have a peek-a-boo," she said.

Four boats were on display inside, and about 15 outside, of various makes including Bayliner, Lund and Hewescraft.

The gallery also featured motorcycles, utility vehicles and other power vehicles.

This year was the first year the show took place in Force One's new location, also on Old Airport Road, following three annual shows at the previous location, which featured an outdoor tent sale.

The boat show was held in conjunction with the Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce Spring Trade Show until 2008, when the dealer pulled out of the trade show to put on its own independent event.

Force One has not ruled out joining the trade show in the future.
