Jobs lost and jobs gained

NWT/NUNAVUT
The number of employed in Nunavut fell by 500 people in the three months between December 2011 and February 2012, according to the most recent Statistics Canada figures.

On average over the period, the employment rate was 54.7 per cent.

After months of decline, the NWT Bureau of Statistics reported the NWT employment rate slightly improved in February, increasing by 0.3 per cent over January, to 68.8 per cent. The country saw an employment rate of 60.8 per cent in February.
