Children OK after crash
RCMP says alcohol may be a factor in a car crash where two children escaped unharmed.
According to a news release, the Mounties were called to a single vehicle rollover on Dettah Road Friday night. Upon arrival, officers found an injured female in the driver's seat.
Two children and an adult male were also in the vehicle. "The children did not appear to have suffered injuries," police stated.
The driver was medevaced to Edmonton.
Information about her condition has not been released. Police made no mention of the man's injuries. An investigation continues.

City-wide fire ban
The City of Yellowknife has issued a mandatory city-wide open-air burning ban, including the use of fire pits within the city.
The ban was issued due to increasingly dry conditions and comes following consultation with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the city's notice states.
The ban will remain in effect until further notice.
A total fire ban has also been implemented at Fred Henne and Yellowknife River territorial parks by the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment.

Hundreds raised for fire victims
Hungry Yellowknifers helped raise $833 for residents affected by the Northland fire last week through a fundraiser at Murray's Curbside Treats 'n Eats.
Murray Jones, who runs the food truck, said $233 dollars came from a tip and donation jar.
The other $600 came from a portion of the sales he made during 'fish taco Friday' last week.
Two homes were destroyed in a fire that broke out on Norseman Drive July 3. No one was injured.

Cable TV goes out
A fibre line cut near Jean Marie River in the NWT's southwest is getting the blame for a cable TV outage in Yellowknife that began Sunday night and stretched into Monday.
According to an e-mail from Northwestel, the outage began at 8:30 p.m. Sunday and was fixed by 3 p.m. Monday.
It did not affect other telecommunications services, including Internet. Northwestel has not stated how the line was cut.
