IGLULIK
After conducting a site visit at Baffinland's Mary River project, representatives from the Nunavut Impact Review Board will land in Iglulik July 15. The board will be setting up a booth at the Co-op to inform residents.

"NIRB plans to be available at the local Co-op store in order to provide interested residents of Iglulik with information related to ongoing monitoring of the Mary River Project and collect feedback," states a letter from the board to Mayor Peter Ivalu and interim senior administrative officer Shawn Stuckey.

The board is responsible for conducting annual site visits.

The information booth will run from 1 to 5 p.m. July 15, at which time interested residents can discuss the project or receive updates on the board's ongoing monitoring of the Mary River project. Residents can also receive information on how members of the public may participate in impact review board's monitoring process.

The Mary River project is an iron ore mine operated by Baffinland Iron Mines Corporation on north Baffin Island.
