John Moore on the issues
He said he had about 85 posts a few hours after going on the site. He was unable to determine exactly where all the questions were coming from.
"Reddit offers one of those opportunities where I can engage directly with people in the communities at a low to no cost basis and provide some of that much needed conversation on issues that I don't think other parties are addressing," Moore said.
"We got into a few different discussions and I think some people on the board were surprised with some of my answers. One of the best parts about being a member of the Green Party is that I'm given the freedom to take my own positions on certain issues."
One of those issues that was discussed on the Reddit site was nuclear energy.
"The Green Party has a stated position against the issue, however ... I am a strong proponent of the idea and I've been developing some policy regarding lifter reactors here in the NWT," said Moore.
NDP candidate Dennis Bevington is flying to Fort Good Hope from Norman Wells in the morning on Sept. 28 and will meet with residents to discuss issues impacting the community.
The next day, Bevington will travel to Deline to meet with voters before returning to Yellowknife on Sept. 30.
Liberal candidate Michael McLeod will be hosting a chili and bannock feast in his hometown of Fort Providence on Sept. 28.
The following day, McLeod will travel to Yellownife to meet with the city's Francophone community.
Later in the week, McLeod will travel to the Sahtu region, where he is scheduled to make stops in Deline, Norman Wells, Fort Good Hope and Tulita.
Green Party candidate John Moore said he was looking at staying in Inuvik and move up toward Tuktoyaktuk.
He said he was working on getting a boat ride to get to other Northern communities.
