A woman is in police custody after a man received a fatal stab wound in Rankin Inlet during the evening hours of May 8.
The Rankin Inlet detachment of the RCMP responded to a call to a house in the community about 11:30 p.m. on May 8.
They found the 30-year-old man at the residence in severe distress.
He later died from his injuries.
As of press time, the RCMP's major crimes unit, the coroner's office and a forensic identification team were investigating the matter.
The RCMP were not releasing any further information, including the identities of the accused or the victim.
