Among the top

The Government of the Northwest Territories has been named one of Canada's 100 top employers for young people in 2014.

Human Resources Minister Tom Beaulieu credited the distinction to the GNWT's student employment and internship programs, as well as a new graduate internship program that provides students with paid internships for more than one year.

"Our investment in attracting and retaining young Northerners through initiatives such as summer student employment and internships ensures the transfer of knowledge from one generation to another, which is important for developing our future leaders," Beaulieu stated in a news release Monday.
