New scholarship

Jackie Jacobson, the speaker of the legislative assembly, and the Yellowknife Community Foundation (YCF) have joined together to establish the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly Scholarship.

The scholarship will be awarded annually to assist students who decide to pursue post-secondary studies in political science or a related field, and will be funded from a surplus that was left over after the Legislative Assembly Building Society completed payment on the building's mortgage.
