Emergency crews responded to a fire in Northland Trailer Park some time after 4:30 p.m on Wednesday afternoon.
By the time Yellowknifer arrived at 129 Stinson Street, no flames or smoke could be seen, and the house was still standing.
Neighbour Dean Stoesz was watching TV in the adjacent home at the time of the incident. He said he did not notice there was a problem until a firetruck pulled up outside his house.
"First thing I saw, the truck roll up, then they punched in the door and a lot of smoke came out," said Stoesz.
Stoesz said he believed there was no one in the house at the time.
The owner of the house, who did not want to be named, arrived at the scene after the fire broke out. He said he normally rents the property out, but said there is currently no living at the house.
Gerda Groothuizen, deputy fire chief, said she could not give additional information about the fire until fire crews had returned to the station.
