RCMP are reporting they've seized about 900 grams of marijuana during an investigation in Yellowknife on Sept. 20.

The marijuana, found in four bags, equals about 2,700 joints, according to the RCMP's calculation of one joint per .33 grams.

Yellowknife RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Roxanne Hudym wouldn't say exactly where the marijuana was found, as it's part of an ongoing investigation.

"That's a little sensitive to what they're working on," Hudym said.

She confirmed, however, that no arrests had been made nor charges laid.

The Crime Reduction Unit of the Yellowknife RCMP made the find during an investigation, but Hudym couldn't say how they came upon the marijuana.

She said there hasn't been any other drugs found or significant incidents as a result of the investigation.
