Commercial traffic restricted on trail

Commercial vehicles travelling on the Ingraham Trail will be restricted to night-time driving as of Wednesday as a means of preserving the road in the face of warming temperatures. "We have a bit of rutting and potholes on the road so we're preserving the highway by restricting it to nighttime driving only for commercial haul vehicles," said Earl Blacklock, manager of communications for the Department of Transportation. There will be no commercial daytime haul allowed on the Ingraham Trail as of 9 a.m. Wednesday and the restriction will be in effect until further notice. The restriction does not affect ordinary traffic, said Blacklock.
