NUNAVUT
Hygaard Mini Subs are being voluntarily recalled in six provinces and two territories, including Nunavut, as they could be contaminated with listeria bacterium, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

The mini subs in question, sold in 130-gram packages, bear the UPC (barcode) 0 65504 49306 2 with a best-before date of Oct. 21, states a press release from the federal government sent out Oct. 12.

The mini subs have been distributed in Nunavut, the Yukon, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.

No illnesses related to the consumption of this products has been reported, stated Canadian Food Inspection Agency, though listeria can cause listeriosis, an illness causing high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea, and can be fatal.
