A twin otter aircraft on floats with seven persons on board crashed while attempting to land in Old Town early Thursday afternoon.

According to Nathan Wilson, who witnessed the crash, the plane, reportedly belonging to Arctic Sunwest, was coming in for a landing when "one of the engines kicked out," and the plane banked sharply before crashing into a building across the street from the Bayside Bed and Breakfast at 3505 McDonald Drive.
