RCMP are seeking the public's help to determine how a 43-year-old man died suddenly in Gjoa Haven on Sept. 3.

RCMP have identified the man as Nicholas Kameemalik. Foul play has been ruled out, and the coroner is awaiting toxicology results to determine the cause of death.

Gjoa Haven RCMP stated they found Kameemalik unresponsive after being called to a Gjoa Haven residence at about 3 a.m. on Sept. 3.

Medical assistance was provided at the residence before the man was transported to the Gjoa Haven Medical Centre but medical staff were unable to revive him, stated police.

Contact the Gjoa Haven RCMP detachment if you have any information that could help them with their investigation.
