NUNAVUT
The names of the candidates running in three territorial byelections next month were announced Friday by Elections Nunavut after the nomination period closed.

Kirt Ejesiak, Monica Inunak Ell and Tuutalik Boychuck are running for MLA in the riding of Iqaluit West.

Joe Enook, Sam Omik Sr., Brandy Kanayok and David Qajaakuttuk Qamaniq are running for MLA in the Tununiq riding, comprising Pond Inlet.

Johnny Mike and Hezakiah Oshutapik are running for MLA in Pangnirtung.

The byelection in the three constituencies will be held Sept. 12.
