SOMBA K'E/YELLOWKNIFE - Yellowknife RCMP want the public to know it is still looking for any information that could help locate Angela Meyer, who has been missing since November 27, 2010.

"The search is ongoing. It doesn't mean that we're doing anything differently than we have been," said Const. Kathy Law.

"We're getting the word back out. It's been awhile since we put our last press release out and again, with the weather getting warmer, more people are outside, and if anybody sees her, or sees anything suspicious, to contact us."

Law said police have not secured any leads since the search began last November.

Meyer, who turns 23 on June 26, was at home in the care of her family on a weekend pass from Stanton Territorial Hospital when she disappeared. She had been receiving treatment for a mental illness. Meyer left the home to have a cigarette but when her mother, Kathy Meyer, looked out the window to check on her she was gone.

Her mother said during a previous interview that Angela was preparing to head to Independent Advocacy Inc. in December, a private organization in Edmonton which supports adults with developmental disabilities.

The last organized search for Angela took place in mid-January. More than 150 people came together to search the city and outer-lying areas.

Angela's Family could not be reached for comment before press time.

Angela is described by RCMP as a 5-foot-11 Inuit female weighing between 220 and 240 pounds. She has short, dark brown hair and wears glasses. She was last seen wearing a Helly Hansen winter coat, black yoga pants, a black T-shirt and grey, low winter boots.
