IKALUKTUTIAK/CAMBRIDGE BAY - The Kitikmeot Teachers' Conference attracted teachers from the region for a week of professional improvement and development.

The teachers attended sessions on topics including first aid, yoga, SmartBoards and how to support a peaceful school.

Teachers could also get their hair done as Melissa Shaver, a hairdresser from the Calgary area, came up, as did massage therapist Jill Woods from New Brunswick. She showed teachers how to stand properly, among other things.

Cambridge Bay residents had access to the two professionals during the day.
