Iqaluit dates set for mining symposium

IQALUIT - The 14th annual Nunavut Mining Symposium is coming to Iqaluit from April 5 to 7.

Discussions, conferences and presentations will be held on those days, with a trade show set for the April 6.

The yearly symposium is for Inuit organizations, regulatory agencies, various levels of government, and exploration and mining companies to share information and do business.

Patricia Mohr, vice-president of economics, and commodity market specialist for The Scotiabank Group will be at the symposium April 5 to give a presentation about metal prices, currencies and the global growth outlook for 2011-2012.

The Canadian North Nunavut Mining Awards will be presented at a dinner on April 7.
