Diavik to Tuk
Guy Quenneville Northern News Services Published Monday, November 29, 2010
On Thursday, visitors from the mine will hold an open discussion with community residents from 2 to 4 p.m. Then, from 7 to 9 p.m., the mine will conduct a presentation outlining how residents and businesses can benefit from operations at the mine, which will become a fully underground operation in 2012. The presentation will include tips on writing resumes, according to Gordon. According to Diavik's 2010 mid-year socio-economic monitoring report, the mine had no workers currently living in Tuktoyaktuk.
