Roommates Daniel Hillman, Guillame Anctil, Adamie Sakeeta and Nicolas Croteau-Pronovost are scheduled to appear in court in Iqaluit on June 7.

Hillman, a local taxi driver, was arrested and caught on March 5 with $565 in cash and two 60-ounce bottles of vodka in his car after it was searched by RCMP said Cpl. Paul Robinson with the Federal Enforcement Section.

RCMP searched Hillman's house #5000A that he shared with the other men charged and found $4,500 in cash, several cases of beer with 24 cans each and 45 additional 60-ounce bottles of vodka.

After obtaining a search warrant, RCMP seized alcohol on March 7 at the First Air cargo facility addressed to two of the four men living at the home. RCMP confiscated two bottles of wine, 72 cans of beer and 45 60-ounce bottles of vodka, the release said.

Upon further investigation it was determined the four men since Jan. 1 had ordered approximately 6,240 cans of beer and 2,800 60-ounce bottles of vodka. It is estimated the costs of all alcohol ordered, the liquor permits and the cargo fees would have been in excess of $235,000.
