IQALUIT - The body of 44-year-old Pitseolak Kilabuk was found in a house in Iqaluit on Nov. 28, according to an RCMP press release.

She was found inside a residence in Iqaluit's 100 series, near the beach toward Iqaluit's graveyard, RCMP Sgt. Jimmy Akavak said.

An ambulance and RCMP arrived at the scene at approximately 5:47 a.m., according to the release.

Kilabuk's family has been notified and an autopsy has been ordered by the coroner's office, the release also said.

Akavak said a neighbour called the police that morning.

Foul play is not suspected, but the investigation is still ongoing, Akavak said.
