SOMBA K'E/YELLOWKNIFE - Police are turning to the public for help in locating an intruder who sexually assaulted a woman after entering her home on Aug. 28.

RCMP Const. Kathy Law said police are hoping a recently released composite sketch will help police to find the suspect.

The man is described as 30 to 40 years of age with light coloured short hair. He has a large build and is approximately six feet tall and weighs more than 200 pounds. He speaks with an East Coast accent.

RCMP say the man was wearing a three-quarter length grey shirt, blue jeans and dark running shoes with stripes at the time of the incident.

The assault occurred in the late afternoon or early evening, when the man made an unforced entry into the Range Lake area home of a woman who is in her 60s.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Yellowknife RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
