Urbanites have an opportunity to commune with the wild wonders of nature tomorrow thanks to photographer Robert Mulder.

Mulder is displaying a wide selection of recent photographs at the fourth annual Christmas Art and Craft Sale at Northern United Place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

His series includes shots captured along the Dempster Highway, the Ingraham Trail, Niven Lake and at the east arm of Great Slave Lake. Subjects include the Porcupine caribou herd, grizzly bears, wolves, water fowl, ravens and ptarmigan.

"A photogtrapher is always trying to buy better lenses and equipment so I thought with any income I make with this sale coming up on Saturday I could maybe buy another lens," he said. "Right now I'm just enjoying my passion for photography and seeing if anyone else is interested."

Last winter Mulder shared his passion with young photographers as one of the mentors during the Arctic Winter Games. His work is also on display at Down To Earth Gallery in Old Town.
