With the hustle and bustle of the festive season upon us, many procrastinators will feel pressure to brave the busy shops and interminable line-ups for a few last-minute gifts.

The galleries, studios and shops in Old Town offer lots of Northern-made products and art.

Hand-made jewelry pieces at Idumea Fine Crafts are one-of-a-kind, as are the contemporary fine artworks created by Terry Pamplin in his Head Space Studio.

For the practical-minded, Weaver and Devore is often a safe bet.

There is no shortage of locally-made hidden treasures located in this historic neighbourhood.
