INUVIK - A resident who had two tires slashed late last month is wondering why someone would stoop to such immaturity.
The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, said she fell victim to a random vandal on May 29.

"My brother who left for work early, came back in to let me know that two of my truck tires were flat and looked slashed," she said.
Upon seeing the damage herself, the woman said it angered her.
"I was pissed off, but we've had vandalism on the truck a few years back," she said.
Because of the previous damage, the woman was not shocked at the sight of two flat tires.
"It's just typical," she said.
Since she only had one spare tire in the truck, she was forced to find another way to work that day.
"I called the police from work, to report the incident," said the woman.
An RCMP officer took her report over the phone and visited her home that night to follow up.
"I gave a statement at my house and the officer came by to check the area," she said.
The father of the victim took the truck in to get the tires fixed.
Because the tires were slashed on the sidewalls, they were not repairable and needed to be replaced with new tires.
"It cost me $630," said the woman.
She said the experience has her upset and wondering about the balance of order in town.
"It's more than annoying, it's maddening," she said.
"You think you're a good person and someone just comes along and does something like this."
Const. Tim Fifield told Inuvik Drum a person was taken into custody in connection to the crime, but no details were available as of last week.
