Trudeau will give the keynote address at the Tu beta Ts'ena (Water is Life) Conference set for Aug. 20-23.
The conference is being presented by Akaitcho Territory Government, and will be hosted by Smith's Landing First Nation.
Organizers are hoping to attract 400-600 participants for the conference, which will deal with such issues as government's duty to consult on water issues, traditional knowledge and lifestyle, and water quality/use and strategy.
