YELLOWKNIFE - While Yellowknife built to fever pitch before last night's White Stripes concert, four young Yellowknifers decided to take the mania lying down.
"We've been here since 8 a.m.," said Angela Crews, 14, from her blanket in front of the Multiplex.
"Originally, we were going to sleep here."
She was joined by Becky Kornichuk, 17, Caitlin Staples, 15, and Diana Gibson, 14.
"We were first in line at Birchwood (for tickets) too," Kornichuk said.
Of course, they admit to taking a few breaks, since as of 2 p.m., there was still no-one in line behind them.
The process of camping out for seats is new to the group, as only one has ever been to a major concert before. In fact, it was only around noon the four-some realized they were sitting in the wrong line-up: the one for bleacher seats.
"A guy came out and told us we were in the wrong spot," Crews said.
So what song are these girls waiting for?
"Seven Nation Army," they said in near unison, smiling at the thought of hearing the bass-heavy international hit.
Final details for the concert came together Saturday night, when Diga was officially slotted as the opening act for the show.
