Chocolate, a bunny, and breakfast

YELLOWKNIFE - Kids, parents and grandparents enjoyed a special on Saturday morning at the Royal Canadian Legion.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny!

Breakfast was served with an Easter Bunny, some games and chocolate of course.

"It was great," C.J. Curtis said.

The best part for him? "My brother winning something."

Curtis, 11, was a supportive older brother, as he watched his younger brother play with his puzzle.

But being a great big brother aside, inquiring minds wanted to know what the best part about Easter was?

"Well if you ask me it's the chocolate," Curtis said.

But Easter's more about chocolate, right?

"As I get older I realize it's about family."

But let's get back to the chocolate.

"I just like it all as long as it's not a peanut butter cup, I don't like that," said Curtis.

For Jessica Gill, it's just as much about getting the chocolate as eating it.

"Finding the eggs. I always find all of the eggs," the eight-year-old said.

Okay, so there's eggs to find, too. What about the chocolate though?

"The bunnies," she said of the chocolate shaped treats.

Thankfully the Easter Bunny had left by then, so there was no concern of hurting the fuzzy eared chocolate deliverer.

Jessica Gill's younger sister, Elishia, agreed with her sister about the best part of Easter.

"The eggs and chocolate," the five-year-old said.

The two sisters were in town visiting their grandparents for the holiday.

In answer whether the trip from Hay River was worth it all Jessica Gill had two big thumbs up to give in reply.
