TUKTOYAKTUK - Still mourning the death of his wife after wrist surgery at Stanton Territorial Hospital in Yellowknife, Paul Voudrach has another funeral to arrange: for his mother-in-law Christie Albert.

Albert, originally from Fort McPherson but most recently living in Yellowknife, died last week at the age of 76. Her funeral was set for today in McPherson.

'It just keeps rolling down the hill like a big snowball,' said Voudrach last week. 'It's possibly the impact from Norma's death.'

His wife Norma, 54, was Albert's daughter. Norma died in the recovery room at Stanton Feb. 19 of heart failure after her lungs filled with fluid. She had been in surgery to repair a broken wrist. An autopsy has been done but results aren't expected to be ready for three or four months.

'I know (Stanton is) doing an internal investigation,' said Voudrach, adding he has had no contact from anyone at the hospital but the doctor since his wife's death. 'I want to know what happened.'
