BAKER LAKE - The Kaminak Gold Corp. has announced its technical team has generated two new uranium projects in Nunavut.
The 100 per cent company-owned properties were acquired through government issued prospecting permits and are not subject to third party royalties.
One of the two properties is the new Yathkyed uranium project, which is comprises 130,000 acres located about 200 km southwest of Kaminak's Baker Lake uranium project.
The Yathkyed property was initially explored for uranium in the late 1970s by Pan Ocean Oil Ltd., and known mineralization consists of uranium, copper and molybdenum.
Kaminak is currently completing a detailed comprehensive geological review of the property to help provide recommendations for an initial 2007 work program.
