A 33-year-old man was charged with theft in connection to a nail gun stolen from the Polar Tech snowmobile shop. Two employees chased the man when he left the store, and caught him. After he was caught, a RCMP search of the suspect revealed a collapsible baton on his person, which is a restricted weapon according to Coulombe.

The incident took place by Centre Square Mall. One of the teens chasing the girl had a knife, said Coulombe.

The incident was reported to have taken place just after midnight on March 11. It's still under investigation.
