IQALUIT - For the second time, the accused in three Cambridge Bay homicides was due for a court appearance. For the second time, he did not appear in the Nunavut Court of Justice.

Christopher Bishop - the 21-year-old former Nunavut Power employee charged with three counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder for Jan. 6 shootings in Cambridge Bay - was on the docket for the Feb. 8 sitting of the Nunavut Court of Justice.

Just like his first appearance, he opted to stay in the Baffin Correctional Centre and let his lawyers handle the case.

Even without his presence in the courtroom, Bishop's case is moving along. A preliminary inquiry was set for Sept. 24 in Iqaluit.
