Yellowknife (Sep 22/06) - Some interesting photos are being displayed at Samuel Hearne secondary school.
They depict children from everywhere in the NWT, living everyday life in the 1900s.

Art teacher Barry McEvoy said he has one favourite picture, called simply 'Girls with pups.'
It depicts teenage girls posing with huskies in Tuktoyaktuk in 1951.
While the scene could be happening today, one of the girls is wearing distinctively 1950s hair and bright lipstick.
"People should come down and take a look," McEvoy said.
He added that people might perhaps recognize a relative in the pictures, which come from Aklavik, Sachs Harbour, Dettah, Fort Providence and other places.
The current exhibit is called "100 years of Northern Children."
It's a collection on loan from the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre in Yellowknife.
McEvoy said the pictures were sent by mail free of charge.
"It didn't cost us anything, even the post is paid!" he said.
When the exhibit wraps up Sept. 29, McEvoy said the pictures will be shipped to Hay River.
