Yellowknife (July 26/06) - Two men from Alberta were charged with aggravated assault Monday in connection to a stabbing outside a downtown bar early Friday morning.
Two men, in their mid-twenties, were injured and taken to Stanton Territorial Hospital.
One man was treated for multiple stab wounds and was released Sunday.
The other was treated for minor injuries to his face and was released Friday.
"Both were young, in their mid-twenties," said RCMP Sgt. Darcy Fleury. Their exact ages have not been released.
Police have identified the men they say are involved as 20-year-old Delroy Morgan, and 23-year-old Jeffrey Morris.
According to police, four men fought outside the Raven Pub, resulting in the stabbing and other injuries.
Police have not released the cause of the fight, but said it was isolated and not a random act. Several people witnessed the brawl, many of whom have be interviewed by police.
The suspects were scheduled to appeared in justice of the peace court Tuesday evening.
