Yellowknife (Mar 06/06) - Inuvik's Razzamajazz performed at multiple venues around Yellowknife last month during the second annual Aurora Festival.

Guitarist Mike Whiteside, pianist Christina Wilsdon, saxophonist Bob Mumford and vocalists/percussionists Miki O'Kane and Carrie Young, appeared at several night clubs and the Aurora World visitor's centre on Prelude Lake outside the capital.

They also performed at the Bushed Music Festival on Feb. 26, an event organized by the Recording Arts Association of the NWT (RAANT).

The festival gave the band an opportunity to jam with a number of Yellowknife musicians. Trombonist Bill Gilday, horn player Mike Hilchey and stand up bassist Pat Braden helped give Razzamajazz a big band sound.

Mumford also performed alongside acoustic guitarist, singer/songwriter Brodie Dawson late in the evening.
