Yellowknife (Feb 08/06) - A tip from concerned citizens led Yellowknife RCMP to make a drug bust involving cash, drugs and a machete.

As a result of the tip, police raided an apartment, Feb. 3, said Const. Colleen Werrell.

Police won't say where the apartment is, but the Mounties seized a large amount of cash, about six ounces of cocaine, four guns, eight knives including a large machete, scales, walkie talkies, and four mobile telephones.

Three men and one woman were arrested as a result.

Two men are from Edmonton and will be charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of weapons dangerous to the public and possession of proceeds of crime.

Both men will appear in court April 18.
