Yellowknife (Dec 09/05) - A trio of Yellowknife singers launched a new CD for the holidays last week.

Christmas North of 60 features songs recorded by North of 60 Idol winner Bobbi Bouvier, Glenn Butt and Bill Chipman.

They unveiled the CD at a release party held at the Legion last Thursday night.

On the weekend, the singers held a second release party at the Saan store. The family event included a colouring contest and kids' karaoke.

This year's runner-up in the North of 60 youth Idol competition, Amy Dillman, was among the young singers.

Nathan Dunne bought a CD to be autographed by Bouvier, Butt and Chipman. He also stepped up to the mike to sing a French version of Jingle Bells.

Chrissy Strand got into the holiday spirit with her Santa hat and festive songs.

She sang on stage with her sister Breanna Strand.
