Coppermine (Nov 21/05) - Three Kugluktuk residents are facing an array of charges after an RCMP raid netted 2,378 grams of marijuana on Nov. 17.

Allan Michael Chwyl, Naomi Richardson and Adam Egotik Jr. were charged after several months of investigation, according to the Kugluktuk RCMP.
Chwyl, 27, faces charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime, residential break and enter and unlawful storage of a firearm.
Richardson, 25, is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime and unlawful storage of a firearm.
Egotik, 27, is also charged with possession with the intent to traffic and residential break and enter.
The marijuana was packaged in clear plastic and were found in one residence and one vehicle.
The investigation included surveillance of the residence and of the suspects. Three separate search warrants were issued and executed.
RCMP are still investigating how such a large amount of marijuana made it to Kugluktuk, whether it was delivered in the sealift or by air.
