Yellowknife (Oct 26/05) - Four of the eleven people charged in a cocaine drug bust this month appeared in Yellowknife courtrooms Tuesday.

Colin Cleveland and Kan Sui Wong made brief visits to the prisoner's box in territorial court.

Leonard Haynes also appeared on a non-drug related matter.

The cases for Cleveland and Haynes were put over for another two weeks, while Wong will face six charges of conspiring to traffic cocaine Nov. 10.

Cleveland, the manager of the Right Spot, is charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to sell. Haynes is charged with trafficking and conspiring to traffic cocaine, as well as one charge of possession.

The men are accused of being involved in a major drug ring in the city and were arrested, along with 28 others during an Oct. 13 sweep by Yellowknife RCMP.

Of the 31 taken to the detachment, only 11 were charged.

Six of those arrested are still in jail, awaiting their next court appearances.

Sandra Gellenbeck, the general manager of Johnson's Building Supplies, was denied bail during a bail review Tuesday.

Justice J.E. Richard ordered Gellenbeck back to jail to await trial.

The 43-year-old faces one count of conspiring to traffic cocaine and another of possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

A bail review for Haynes is scheduled for Wednesday, while Cleveland will be in court for his review Thursday.

Wong, the owner of the Right Spot Sports Bar and Grill, faces the most charges in the drug bust and has not yet asked for bail.
