Holman (Aug 29/05) - Northern Transportation Company Ltd. has been throwing a party in every port to celebrate the 20th anniversary of aboriginal ownership of the company.

Celebrations coincide with barge arrivals in each community, therefore the Cambridge Bay party will be next.

Subsequent parties are planned for Aklavik, Tuktoyaktuk and Univik. The communities of Gjoa Haven and Taloyoak will be the last to celebrate.

Sachs Harbour, Paulatuk, Kugluktuk and Holman celebrations have recently passed.

On July 15, 1985, the Inuvialuit Development Corp. and Nunasi Corp. bought NTCL from the federal government.
