Pelly Bay (July 25/05) - An adult male from Kugaaruk is dead after an ATV accident in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 24.

The body was discovered 13 kms outside the hamlet by construction workers labouring on the Dew Line Road. The vehicle had come to a rest just off the road.

"There was significant damage to the vehicle and it was very obvious that there had been a accident," said Cpl Don Erb of the Kugaaruk RCMP.

RCMP will not release the name of the victim until his next of kin have been notified.
