Yellowknife (July 13/05) - Yellowknife RCMP responded to 278 complaints between June 28 and July 11.
Police were called 12 times to investigate break and enters in a business. Another eight complaints dealt with break and enters at residences.
There were eight illegal drug complaints logged.
Out of 30 assault complaints received, seven were sexual assaults, five were assaults with a weapon and 18 were common assaults.
During the two-week period, 84 causing a disturbance complaints were received.
Police responded to six motor vehicle accidents. One involved a non-fatal injury and three involved damages of more than $1,000.
Three motor vehicle thefts were reported and 11 traffic tickets were written.
