Last week, the feds announced that the Human Resources and Skills Development Canada office in Yellowknife is now a receiving agent for passport applications.

Employees at the Yk site are now responsible for reviewing passport applications to ensure accuracy and completeness before forwarding them on to Passport Canada.

Including the time it takes for agents in Yellowknife to check and hand off applications to Passport Canada, the federal government promises passports will be delivered within 20 working days to successful applicants.
