Yellowknife (May 16/05) - Yellowknife RCMP responded to 350 complaints from May 2 to 15.
Of those, 70 dealt with damage to property.
Eleven complaints received were break and enters in a business. Of those
complaints, six were completed break and enters. Among the items missing are a crowbar, three laptop computers and cash.
Three charges were laid in connection to some of the break-ins.
Four residential break and enter complaints were received. Only in one of the incidents was access gained to the residence.
Six illegal drug complaints were received. Of those, three were regarding cannabis marijuana. Three were cocaine-related.
There were 28 assault complaints. Of those, 25 were common assaults, one was assault with a weapon and two were sexual assaults.
Sixty-two calls dealt with someone causing a disturbance.
One complaint of robbery was received.
Seven motor vehicle accidents were reported. Of those, two involved non-fatal injuries, three involved damages under $1,000 and two involved damages over $1,000.
One motor vehicle was reported stolen. The vehicle was recovered undamaged, but had items missing.
Seven complaints of impaired driving were received.
Seven traffic tickets were written during this time.
