Ed Horne's latest court appearance delayed

Northern News Services

Iqaluit (Apr 11/05) - The first court appearance for convicted sex offender Ed Horne on 11 new sex-related charges has been delayed until May 2 at 9:30 a.m.

On April 4, Horne's lawyer Tom Boyd called in to the courtroom from Yellowknife at 10:30 a.m. and said he had been talking to Horne's parole officer in Toronto, but had not yet spoken to Horne directly to get a "full disclosure package."

The charges stem from Horne's time as a teacher in Sanikiluaq and Cape Dorset in the 1980s.
