Yellowknife (Feb 16/05) - Arctic Wild Harvest will be moving into the old Bizarre Bazaar location on March 1.

With close to 700 square feet of space, that's more than twice the 300 sq. ft. that owner Karen Hollett had to work with before.

"It's a larger area and a larger commercial kitchen space," she said.

The new kitchen space will see two work stations, something Hollett did not have space for before.

The move was prompted by the volume of business Arctic Wild Harvest is now encountering.

"Business is going great," says Hollett.

The Christmas season was excellent for Arctic Wild Harvest.

"That's when I make my money. It's big bucks," says Hollett, adding overall she has no complaints over business activity.

While the business is on the move in more ways than one, Hollett says she's going to be expanding her line as well.

"There will be scarves, jewelry, prints, painting and food, too," she says.

Hollett also plans to bring in quiviuq, a wool which comes from the underbellies of muskox.

"It's warmer than wool," she said.

Contractor Brian Legge has been working on the renovation of the Bizarre Bazaar location for the past couple of weeks.

"Brian is my hero," said Hollett.
